Pilot Grant Funding

The Center on Health, Aging, and Disability invites applications for pilot grant funding.

This program will help advance research careers by providing pilot funding, guiding grant recipients through the grant experience and helping them develop a proposal for external funding. Up to four grants of $15,000 each will be awarded. The CHAD Pilot Grant program funds are intended for direct research costs, such as hourly wages for RAs and non-RAs, supplies, travel, equipment.

Principal investigators must be Assistant or Associate Professors in the College of Applied Health Sciences, at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Senior faculty members, research associates, graduate students, and faculty from other campus units and other institutions may serve as co-investigators.

Proposals are due by Friday, December 11, 2009. The results of the CHAD Pilot Grant Program review committee’s decision will be sent by mail to the applicants as soon as possible after the review deadline.
