Journalism professor's latest documentary wins national award
The Lord is Not on Trial Here Today, the latest documentary by journalism professor Jay Rosenstein, has just been named as a winner of a CINE Golden Eagle in the History category of the Professional Telecast Non-Fiction Division.
CINE's mission is recognizing and fostering overall excellence in film and video production. Past CINE Golden Eagle winners include such internationally recognized artists as Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, John Lasseter, George Lucas, Frederick Wiseman, Ken Burns, and many others.
The award is professor Rosenstein's third CINE Golden Eagle, the others awarded to his documentaries In Whose Honor? and The Amasong Chorus Singing Out.
"The Lord is Not on Trial Here Today" is slated for a national PBS broadcast in April, and is distributed by New Day Films. More information can be found at www.thelordisnotontrial.com.
