AdWeek excites and motivates students

From executive producers to agency account directors, AdWeek Illinois had it all this year. Names like Digitas, ABC, and Leo Burnett sent students into a frenzy to polish their resumes, research companies to a point of memorization and, of course, to always network, network, network!

The week of October 3-6 was an exciting time for students as they heard from Rick Kaplan, executive producer of ABC’s “This Week with Christiane Amanpour,” a myriad of Digitas associates discussing what it was like working in a top agency, Dennis Culloton, who spoke about PR crisis management, and finally, how our very own alumni became CEOs and higher level management of their respective companies.

Not only did our guests give students a great deal of advice, but they were all willing to network, pass out their business cards, and make connections here for future leads.

AdWeek could not have happened had it not been for our amazing alumni, everyone in the department as well as the College, and we thank each and every one of them for their continuous energy and support.
