Journalism alumnus and political analyst Hal Bruno remembered
Alumnus Hal Bruno (JOURN ‘50), remembered for his influence on national political coverage in both print and broadcast media, has died at 83. His work included time as sportswriter for The Daily Illini; as a print reporter in and around Chicago in the early 1950s; as a domestic reporter, foreign correspondent, news editor and chief political correspondent for Newsweek; and as a political director for ABC News.
