Advertising Students Expanding Their Horizons

Students in the Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising will be hearing from guest speakers and making industry visits over the new two months.


February 20: Wally Snyder, the former CEO/President of the American Advertising Federation is giving a presentation at 6:30pm in 66 Library. Snyder served as the industry’s spokesperson for sixteen years; and continues to serve as AAF President Emeritus and on the AAF Board of Directors.

February 21: Trisect- a marketing agency for global consumer brands- is giving a creative presentation at 7pm in 112 Chem Annex. Trisect is based in Chicago and founded in 2005, the company creates and builds campaigns built around their clients’ needs.

February 24: The 30th Annual Chicago Advertising Federation (CAF) Career Day will be held at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. Advertising students will be attending breakout sessions and networking with industry professionals. View the full agenda here

March 8: U of I students are participating in AdVasion- a day-long immersion into the Chicago advertising industry.  They will be visiting agencies such as Starcom, Leo Burnett, Red Frog Events, Energy BBDO and many more.

March 22: The Leo Burnett Mosaic Career Fair will be held in the Student Center at DePaul University – Lincoln Park. This will be an incredible opportunity for University of Illinois students to network with agency professionals and discover internship and job leads. Register here.
