HS Ad executives earn certificate
A group of fourteen executives from HS Ad, an agency in Seoul, South Korea, arrived in Champaign on July 21 for a Professional Advertising Certificate at Illinois. Representatives from account management, account planning, public relations, and media will learn from University of Illinois faculty and industry professionals over the course of one and a half weeks.
Strategic communications should be aligned across channels, and should consistently be thought of in terms of the brand and the consumer. In today’s media-saturated environment, advertising is the culmination of all of a marketing plan’s persuasive communications.
The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for HS Ad professionals to study trends in new media, advertising in a global context, and integrated marketing communications through instructional modules and other advanced learning activities administered by the Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising in the College of Media at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Participants in the program will take instructional modules in Champaign, on the University’s campus, and in Chicago, IL. This program will be designed especially for a group from HS Ad, in order to meet specific learning objectives. Faculty include those from the Department of Advertising as well as the Department of Business Administration, and Media and Cinema Studies. Industry professionals from CDW, Trisect, Arc Worldwide, EnergyBBDO/Proximity, Sharpie, and Bamboo Worldwide will teach the Chicago sessions.
