Todd C. Frankel to speak at College of Media
Todd C. Frankel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch will give a talk on How to Be a Journalist AND a Writer" on October 25 at noon in Gregory Hall room 217.
Frankel is an enterprise reporter with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. His stories have received national recognition with National Headliners Awards for feature writing and beat reporting, an American Society of Newspaper Editors award for deadline, and a Society of Professional Journalists award for feature writing. His work is included in2008-2009 Best Newspaper Writing and the upcoming Next Wave: America’s New Generation of Great Literary Journalists, edited by Walt Harrington and Esquire magazine’s Mike Sager. He was part of the newsroom team that was a finalist for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news. He has written for newspapers in Washington, West Virginia and Kentucky. Born in Washington D.C., he is a graduate of the University of Delaware.
