Journalism Career Night 2013

On Thursday evening over 100 students gathered at the Levis Center to hear advice from alumni of the journalism department. The 9th annual Journalism Career Night featured a panel discussion and networking opportunities.

The evening began with a welcome from Interim Dean Jan Slater who spoke of the importance of journalism in our society. Department Head Rich Martin introduced Justin Breen ’99, Senior Editor, who arranged the panel and served as moderator.

Lynn Holley, assistant professor of Journalism, organized journalism Career Night. “It never ceases to amaze me the quality of journalism students that we graduate from this program," she commented. Each of these panelists is an inspiration to the next group of journalists coming up the pike. They all are great examples of where talent, commitment and chutzpah will get you.”
