Vocal training may help in aging

Research by Assistant Professor Aaron Johnson and colleagues at the University of Wisconsin demonstrates that vocal training in older rats reduces some of the voice problems related to aging, such as the loss of vocal intensity that accompanies changes in the muscles of the larynx.  The researchers hope that in the future, voice therapy will help improve the quality of life of aging humans.  Read more about the study.
