Ambrose finds link between breastfeeding, stuttering
A study of 47 children who began stuttering at an early age found that those who were breastfed in infancy were more likely to recover from stuttering. The study by Speech and Hearing Science Professor Emerita Nicoline Ambrose and graduate student Jamie Mahurin-Smith found that breastfeeding was especially beneficial for boys, who are more likely to be affected by stuttering.
