Champaign, Illinois—Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon has announced a registration promotion for Valentine’s Day called “Heal a Heart Registration Day.”

Marathon officials announced today that for every person who registers on Tuesday, February 14, the race will donate $5.00 of the entry fee to charity.  The money collected from this promotion will be evenly divided and donated to two LOCAL charities:

Project Athletes
PROJECT ATHLETES fosters life’s positive outlooks in ways that help guide teens on their life journey. Focused on physical conditioning, this structured mentoring program recognizes and promotes academic standing, goal setting and balance in their lives.

The Autism Program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Known locally as TAP, this agency facilitates collaborations between agencies, schools, and individuals that enhance the community’s capacity and quality of services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. TAP develops and evaluates model programs in training, treatment, and family support, and provides a place where families and professionals can find information or preview materials that might be helpful to them.

There is no special registration code needed. All anyone has to do to participate is register for the race of their choice any time on Tuesday, February 14.

The 2017 race weekend is April 21-22.
