Dr. Craig Gundersen is participating in the Illinois Lecture Series
Mark your calendars for March 19th. In partnership with Feeding America, one of the nation’s leading organizations in the fight against hunger, the Illinois Lecture Series is hosting a luncheon at the University Club of Chicago featuring Dr. Craig Gundersen. Gundersen, a prominent voice on food insecurity and the Soybean Industry Endowed Professor of Agricultural Strategy in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois, will provide an overview of food insecurity, its determinants and consequences, and successful strategies for its reduction in the United States.
Nearly 50 million Americans live in food insecure households, meaning that, at some point in the past year, they may not have had enough resources for food for all family members. Food insecurity rates remain at historically high levels, and given the many health consequences associated with the problem, the issue is a key concern facing the U.S.
This event will be a lunch, learn, and engagement opportunity that you won’t want to miss. Register online by going here.
