CAS Resident Associate Anke Pinkert has proposal accepted for 2018 conference

Anke Pinkert's (German) and Chris Higgins' (Educational Policy, Organization and Leadership) proposal, "The Humanities and Public Life," was one of six symposia selected for funding by the OVCR for the “Research at 150 concluding conference of the Sesquicentennial,” to be held April 10-12, 2018.

Higgins and Pinkert have been appointed CAS (Center for Advanced Study) Resident Associates 2017-18 to co-lead the interdisciplinary initiative “Learning Publics."

Pinkert’s research interests include modern German culture, literature, and film; holocaust studies; memory and affect; post-communist transnational studies; humanities as field, theory, and practice; educational philosophy; and mass incarceration.
