Professor Randall Sadler, Linguistics, keynote speaker at conference in Honduras

Professor Randall Sadler (far right in the accompanying photo), was interviewed on live TV while in Honduras to attend the 2nd Congress for Teachers of Foreign Languages, hosted by Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras, from Nov. 2-4.

The interviewees discussed the conference and the work that Dr. Zepeda and Dr. Sadler are doing in the area of Technology and Language Learning, with his part focusing on “Telecollaboration and Virtual Worlds.”

While in Honduras, Professor Sadler, Director of the U. of I.’s TESL and ESL Programs in the Department of Linguistics, gave five presentations at three universities, including a keynote address at the conference, which was attended by about 400 persons.

Dr. Sadler’s trip to the conference was sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Honduras.
