    After decades of searching, astronomers have found for the first time ever the progenitor of a white dwarf supernova. The stellar explosion is located 110 million light years away from Earth. Assistant Professor Ryan Foley co-authored the article that appears in the August 7 issue of Nature

    The Summer Solstice 2014 issue of the Friends of the Observatory Newsletter is published. Since the last newsletter we continue progressing toward our goal of $20,000. Thus far we are over 75% of the way there! Thank you for your continued support.
