Services We Provide
WebTools are designed and created as communication applications for use by all faculty, staff, and students at the University. This suite of tools are in-house resources that work together to develop, display, archive, and distribute information to promote University campuses.
Web Services offers periodic online workshops for WebTools. Workshops are also scheduled following new enhancements to explain any changes to previous operation of the tools. To request online workshops or to schedule staff training click the Contact Us link in the upper-right-hand corner of the Toolbox.
Customer support is continuously available via the "Contact Us" link in the upper-right-hand corner of the Toolbox. In addition, there is a "Help" button, in red, in the mid-upper-hand corner of each tool, which users can 'turn on' in order to see quick instructions for each element within the tools on any given tab.
Unit IT groups may contact Lance Campbell or Jim Wilson directly for any system or interface information.
Web Services can help create unit skins. We provide two types of skins. The first type are online skins which replicate an existing website so that WebTools elements, like the Calendars, Forms and Surveys pages can be integrated into the site seamlessly. The second type of skins are eNewsletters in Email+ and List Builder, which require inline styling and fixed-width formating for email distribution.
We encourage units who request skins to make them available for unit access via the "Access" tab in Skin Designer. If you're not sure how to do this, just request that access be provided at the time of request and we'll set that up for you.
