Your Homework Grade so Far

Author: Prof. Brunet

Published Date:February 14, 2011

You now have access to your homework grade so far, in Lon Capa. (Go to the Folder "Lecture Grades", then "Homework"). This percentage has been computed by compiling all parts submitted and correctly done on HW0-HW6 out of 152 possible parts.  We took into account the excuse students received for HW0 (for joining the class late).

Exam1 is Monday Feb. 14

Author: Prof. Brunet

Published Date:February 5, 2011

The first exam is Monday Feb. 14, 7-8:15 pm. Rooms are as follows (rooms are very tight; you MUST go to your assigned room):
Last Names A-K:  Wohlers Hall 141
Last Names L-P: Rodger Adams Lab 116
Last Names Q-Z: David Kinley Hall 114

The topics covered are from Lectures 1 to 8, homework 0 to 6 (includes IV characteristics, NOT Diodes). You will be asked to SHOW YOUR WORK (i.e. all steps you are taking to provide your answer). Answers without work will be graded zero. Check website with past exams solutions to see what it means (examples). This will allow us to give you partial credit if applicable, and allow you to recheck your work before giving your test back. There are practice exams (actual past exams) on the ECE 110 website (under "Exams"). HKN (243 EL) will sell past exams packages later.

You are allowed to bring one standard size sheet of personal notes (writing on both sides ok), a palm-size calculator (graphic ok). You must use pencils on your exam. YOU MUST BRING YOUR I_CARD TO THE TEST.

The problems on the exam will be more or less ordered by difficulty (from easy to more difficult). This was a request from past ECE 110 students.

If you have a conflict, we will accommodate you (we can give a make-up at 8:30pm, right after the exam, or at 9pm); You must inform your instructor asap by email- we need to reserve a room.  if you are registered in DRES and need accommodation, let us know asap. In any case, notify instructor by Wed. Feb. 9 at 5 pm.

Monday Feb. 14 lecture will be replaced by a (non-mandatory) Q&A session.

Keep your Seat in ECE 110!

Author: Prof. Brunet

Published Date:January 14, 2011

Do not be fooled by the seats that you see opened in ECE 110. They are taken by students who are taking the lab only (not showing on ECE 110 CRNs...). Do not try to change your LAB schedule unless you are swapping with a friend; and there is a risk in even trying that: you may lose your seat.
