The Physical Revue is the department's annual talent show. This year it will be held on Dec 9. In the past we have had musicians, dancers, actors, and even speed rubik's cube solvers.

SSB shown to be dynamic, critical to DNA repair
UI researchers report that single-stranded DNA-binding protein (SSB), once thought to be a static player among the many molecules that interact with DNA, actually moves back and forth along single-stranded DNA, gradually allowing other proteins to repair, recombine, or replicate the strands

Pieper and Wiringa to receive 2010 Bonner Prize
Physics alumni Steven C. Pieper and Robert B. Wiringa have been named recipients of the Amerian Physical Society's 2010 Tom W. Bonner Prize in Nuclear Physics.

Campbell to share the 2010 Lilienfeld Prize
Dr. David K. Campbell, former head of the Department of Physics and now Provost at Boston University, has been named the recipient of the 2010 Julius Edgar Lilienfeld Prize of the American Physical Society.
