Thirteen University of Illinois undergraduate students have been awarded scholarships from the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Program. The scholarships are for students studying abroad in summer 2013, fall 2013 or the 2013-14 academic year.

Nominations are now being accepted for the Champaign-Urbana International Humanitarian Awards. We invite you to consider nominating an individual or organization whose extraordinary international service has improved the lives and contributed to the well-being of people in the following areas: agriculture, hospitality, humanitarian relief, human rights, research/education or trade and business. Nominations are due on Friday, June 21, 2013.

Thirty teachers from around the world will take part in a University of Illinois hosted program beginning June 16. This Study of the U.S. Institute is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Forty Fulbright Scholars from Libya will arrive at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign on June 3, 2013, for a five-week program focused on strengthening their English language skills. The scholars will be hosted by the ACES Office of International Programs in partnership with the U of I's Intensive English Institute (IEI).
