Announcing the First Forum of Our New Series! Beckman Institute Forum for Imaging and Visualization

Starting Tuesday, September 1, 2009, 12:00-12:50 p.m., Room 5602, Beckman Institute The purpose of the Beckman Institute Forum for Imaging and Visualization, held every Tuesday at noon, is to highlight/publicize imaging and visualization capabilities at the University; to feature the work of faculty who utilize those capabilities; and to serve as a locus from which new imaging and visualization modalities may be introduced to the University. The intent of the Forum is to convey information, weekly, to researchers from a wide swath of disciplines.

Imaging at Illinois Workshop Announced

Beckman Institute's Strategic Initiative on Imaging finalized its fall workshop. The Imaging at Illinois Workshop will be held on October 1st, 2009 at the Beckman Institute. A wide array of speakers will attempt to highlight some of the many imaging aspects on campus. The theme for this year is "Highlighting the Science, Technology and Application of Imaging" by using the idea that imaging is pervasive. Professor Stephen A. Boppart will host this years event.
