The National Inventors Hall of Fame honors legendary inventors whose innovations and entrepreneurial endeavors have positively impacted society. The induction ceremony is held to formally induct individuals who invented, patented and advanced their inventions.

The Alumni Career Center invites alumni from all three UI campuses to the first Alumni Connections After Five networking events in Chicago. The May 9 and June 13 get-togethers offer Illinois, UIC and UIS graduates an opportunity to meet fellow alumni and create professional connections.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has announced the establishment of the Andrew T. Yang Research Award, made possible by a $1 million donation from Andrew T. Yang, MS '86 ENG, PHD '89 ENG. Yang is committed to encouraging electrical and computer engineering students to engage in high-risk research projects that may lead to early entrepreneurial experience and success.
