Commencement will be held on May 16, 2010. Information about registration, ordering academic attire, tickets, designating a hooder, and more is now available on the Graduate College Web site. Congratulations to all of our graduates!

Additional Thesis Walk-in Hours
The Graduate College Thesis Office will offer additional walk-in hours for students with deposit-related questions or hard copy theses for review. Extended hours are 9:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:00 - 4:45 PM on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from December 1 through December 11.

Deposit Deadlines for December 2009 Graduation
Deposit deadlines for December 2009 graduation are:
Dec. 4: Last day to deposit a doctoral dissertation
Dec. 11: Last day to deposit a masters thesis
All thesis corrections must be made and all required deposit items must be submitted to the Graduate College Thesis Office no later than 4:45 p.m. on the day of the deadline.
Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 11, the Graduate College Thesis Office will offer walk-in hours of 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Electronically submitted theses and dissertations will be reviewed Monday through Friday.
Students will be able to find information on the Graduate College Thesis Office website (www.grad.illinois.edu/thesis-dissertation) regarding current thesis requirements, forms that will be needed to complete the deposit, and the new electronic review and deposit process.

Grad College Closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. December 14
The Graduate College will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on December 14 so that our staff can enjoy a holiday luncheon. We regret any inconvenience.

Thesis Office Availability during Thanksgiving Break
The Thesis Office will be open Tuesday, November 24, 1:00 4:45 PM, but will be closed for Thanksgiving Break on Thursday and Friday (11/26 and 11/27).
Electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) may be submitted to the Graduate College at any time during Fall Vacation. ETDs submitted during the extended Thanksgiving weekend will be reviewed when the Thesis Office re-opens the following Monday, 11/30.
