Craig Robertson '04 PhD COMM, assistant professor of communication studies at Northeastern University, has recently published "The Passport in America: A History of a Document," by Oxford University Press, 2010. More information...

Yu Hong '08 PhD COMM has been hired as Assistant Professor in the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Shizue Kishi '81 PhD COMM has been elected by the Japan Academy of Advertising to be their next President. The JAA currently has about 600 members from academia and practice. Dr. Kishi is the first female to serve as President of JAA.

Dr. Steve Shenton '91 PhD COMM co-authored Shippensburg University's expanded Professor/Administrator Emeritus Policy that was adopted in April by the University’s Board of Trustees.

Kathy Petitte Jamison '08 PhD COMM, assistant professor of communication at the University of Illinois, Springfield, delivered a paper titled "The Commodification of Kids' Health: Advertising Foods as Fun, Rising Childhood Obesity and a Contractarian Ethic for Advertising," at an international conference at the Centre European des Produits de l'Enfant, in association with the Unversity of Poitiers, and held in Angouleme, France. The presentation was on April 2, 2010.
