APSA Lazarsfeld Award goes to University of Illinois political science professor and grads
A paper co-authored by Professor Scott Althaus and current and former PhD students Nathaniel Swigger, Chris Tiwald, Svitlana Chernykh, David Hendry, and Sergio Wals, "Uplifting Manhood to Wonderful Heights: Newspaper Framing of Casualties from World War One to Gulf War Two", has been awarded the 2009 Paul Lazarsfeld Award for the best paper on political communication presented at the 2008 American Political Science Association's annual meeting by the APSA’s political communication division. The award was announced at this year's meeting in Toronto, Ontario.
