Krupp was well known for her fashion and beauty savvy having served in top positions at Glamour magazine, as popular commentator on several television shows, and most recently as author of “How Not to Look Old” and “How to Never Look Fat Again.” While Krupp found much success in New York City, she never forgot her connection back to her alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She had a big heart for students that desired to establish careers in major media markets like New York City. Krupp offered numerous internships and helped make connections for many students, particularly female journalism students in the College of Media. Krupp was an active member on the College’s National Advisory Board and will be greatly missed. To honor Charla’s legacy and continue her generosity to women in media in perpetuity, the Krupp/Zoglin family has established The Charla Krupp Memorial Fund at the University of Illinois College of Media.
