Pacifica Quartet honored as 'Ensemble of the Year'
The Pacifica Quartet, the faculty quartet in residence at the University of Illinois, has been recognized as Ensemble of the Year by Musical America. The annual directory and online site - regarded as the bible of the performing arts industry - hailed Pacifica as "a model string quartet of the 21st century."

Ben Bradlee awarded Illinois Prize in Journalism
Benjamin Bradlee, executive editor of the Washington Post through more than two decades,
during which the paper broke the Watergate scandal and won 18 Pulitzer Prizes, has been
awarded the Illinois Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism.
