Study: 'Sustainable intensification' on the farm reduces nitrate losses, maintains crop yields

U. of I. researcher Lowell Gentry and his colleagues found that an intensive three-year crop-rotation system reduced nitrate pollution runoff by 50% without compromising crop yields.
