As our semester draws rapidly to a close and we head into these final hectic days of the year, I hope you take a few moments to celebrate all we have accomplished together so far.
In a holiday season that brings us many reasons to be grateful, we see that spirit of gratitude shine through more clearly than ever here on campus. At Illinois, we understand that we don’t reach our goals alone.
We all owe someone our deepest thanks. And as you’ll see in this short video, nobody puts this expression of gratitude into words better than the members of our Illinois family.
Happy holidays and a great New Year!
A Note on the Blog's Winter Schedule
This will be my final regular blog posting for the semester. I'll pick up again when classes resume for the spring semester in January.
Around the Campus
Tomorrow is the last day to request a holiday tune from Dial-A-Carol, a student-run holiday program. For more than 50 years, anyone from anywhere has been able call and request a holiday tune to be played over the telephone. Volunteers also sing to every 5th caller! The program runs 24 hours a day for seven days and is held each year during finals week of the first semester. Last year the program logged more than 4,000 calls from all over the world. Their number is (217) 332-1882.
