All Campus Recreation basketball courts use the Challenge Court system as found here. This system has been in place since the 1960's and is the same system used at recreation centers across the country. It is the same system used all over the basketball playing world. It is the idea of "I got next."  The issue may be some of our users are not used to these rules. We will look at posting signage on the courts stating the Challenge Court rules.  A sign up sheet will not work. We used to have sign ups for cardio machines and the same issues that happened there would happen on the courts. People erasing names, people signing up and then leaving so then an argument will ensue that they left, etc. We have seen it all over years of running facilities. The Challenge Court system is the most fair and understandable way to run the courts.
