Friday, April 22, is Earth Day! Started in 1970 in the US, events now extend globally in support of increased environmental awareness, concern, and protection. It is also the anniversary of the birth of noted conservationist John Muir. What better way to celebrate than to take a walk and enjoy our national parks and forests? (Don't forget this is also the 100th Anniversary of the National Parks system.)
Across the US, this week is also recognized as National Environmental Education Week. You will find a multitude of resources at: https://www.neefusa.org/greening-stem/environmental-education-week
