On Saturday, August 21st, several MBA 1's worked at Urbana's Market at the Square, one of the largest farmer's markets in Illinois. MBA students, working with representitives from the Eastern Illinois Foodbank, collected 840 pounds of fresh produce from local vendors, which the Foodbank estimates will provide approximately 646 meals to hungry local families.
According to Cheryl Precious, Director of Marketing & Development for the Foodbank, "The Illinois MBAs definitely worked up a sweat on Saturday -- and it showed. Their hard work will help ensure hundreds of local families have fresh, healthy produce on their tables this week".
