  • Design for America at the University of Illinois

    First-year MBA student, Ankit Iyer, along with two other MBA students and two undergraduate students created this video as part of the application process to start a Design for America (DFA) chapter at the University of Illinois. Design For America is a national organization that looks at using design thinking to solve social problems. Currently there are chapters at Northwestern, Stanford, Brown, Columbia, UCLA, Cornell, etc. DFA was on the cover of Fast Company magazine in October and has been featured in Forbes, Inc. magazine, and Harvard Business Review. I asked Ankit share some information about the project and the video.

    First-year MBA student, Steve Houlihan has been very busy this year. Apart from his studies, networking and career search, Steve has also been a part of three case competitions.   • Keith T. Darcy Presents on Corporate Social Responsibility

    On Tuesday, the Center for Professional Responsibility in Business and Society invited Keith T. Darcy to the University of Illinois to give a presentation entitled “Corporate Social Responsibility: Ethics or Profit?” Darcy is the Executive Director of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association, which is the largest organization exclusively for ethics and compliance executives. Darcy’s presentation was phenomenal—a must-see for anyone going into business.
