  • REMINDER: DNS Record Freeze

Just a reminder to folks who deal with campus DNS record configuration: Beginning at 8:00AM on Wednesday, June 20, the IPAM team will be freezing DNS records to prepare for the migration on 6/23 to new integrated IPAM ("IP Address Management") platform. (See the announcement at http://illinois.edu/blog/view/786/74771 for more information.)

This means that you will NOT be able to change any DNS records in the Proteus self-service interface and Hostmanager will NOT be able to make ANY changes during this time. Please plan accordingly, and work with us as soon as possible by sending email to hostmgr@illinois.edu if you have changes that will need to be performed by Hostmanager before the 8:00AM reload on Wednesday, June 20.

*** Also, don't forget that we are holding an IPAM training session at 1:30 PM today in 1105 Siebel.*** Please feel free to bring your laptop and join us for some hands on activities.

As always let us know if you have questions, and thank you for your patience during this transition.

    Thank you,
    Illinois IPAM Administrators
