    Now that the Career Fair is over and we're heading into interview season, many students in the College are wondering how to stand out from their peers and impress employers. One outstanding way to show employers your smarts is by competing in a case competition.

    The exciting news from this weekend was Illini football winning its third straight game this season. It was one of the best football games since I've been on campus--everyone was beyond excited for the win and the rest of the season! So what does this have to do with the College of Business!?!

I knew that the University of Illinois was the right place for me ever since I visited in high school and attended my first Illini football game.     A common concern for prospective students is that will they be overwhelmed with how large UofI campus is. Many students come from small towns, closed rural areas and worry about just being a number or falling through the cracks as they like to call it. In all honesty UofI is as big or as small as you make. All the resources that you could ever imagine are here, you just have to be proactive in taking advantage of them. Here are two stories that might ease your doubt.

    Hey, everyone! It's good to finally be back in the swing of things after a wonderful summer. I spent the summer interning at BP on their Integrated Supply & Trading Compliance team, and it was a wonderful experience. I'll give you some more details of my internship and some other ones in a later post. For now, here is the most important piece of advice I can give you!

    As I lay down gazing out the window at a perfect Sun-day with bright and patchy white clouds, I come to the realization of how fast time flies by. It has already been one full year to the day when I decided to spread my wings and fly all the way across the country (Houston, Texas) in order to chase my passions in one of the most prestigious business schools in United States. The University of Illinois baby!
