CITES anticipates that unit support staff will have questions after the distribution of the LCDS2 (Lync Census Data Survey 2) early next month. CITES is planning several events for unit support staff, such as Telecom Unit Coordinators and IT Professionals, that will assist in completing this survey. Unit support staff should attend one or more of these events to ensure their individual questions can be addressed in a timely manner and the LCDS2 can be turned in by it due date of February 28, 2012.
During these scheduled events, CITES will be demonstrating how to complete the LCDS2 using the advanced Lync options outlined on the UC Voice Resource Accounts page. It is strongly encouraged that these support staff members review the information on this page before attending any of these events.
The first of these events is the "Lync Advanced Features Event" on February 2, 2012. This event will be open to Telecom Unit Coordinators and IT Professionals, and it will provide an overview of UC Voice Resource Accounts - showing how to use Lync with non-individual situations such as main department and conference room numbers. There will be two identical sessions taking place at the iHotel on February 2nd, each lasting for 90 minutes, the first starting at 10 a.m., with the second beginning at 2 p.m.
Following the "Lync Advanced Features Event", there will be two corresponding workshops that will expand on what was covered on February 2nd. These "Lync Advanced Support Workshops" will be offered from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Digital Computer Lab in L410 on February 9th and February 16th.
Finally, CITES will be offering "LCDS2 Finalization and Submission Consultations." These workshops will be by invitation only and will take place during the week of February 20th. In these workshops, Telecom Unit Coordinators will be provided with access to CITES personnel to obtain any last minute clarifications needed in order to finalize and submit the LCDS2 by February 28th.
Please check the UC Calendar for these and all UC related events.
