Beauty and Belief is an exhibit that features over 250 pieces of Islamic art curated by Sabiha Al Khemir, an expert in Islamic art. The exhibit features items that have religious significance and pieces that are part of everyday life, including ceramics, textiles, paintings, jewelery, and figurines. The exhibit will be at the Indianapolis Museum of Art through January 13, 2013, after which it will move to museums in Newark, NJ and Portland, OR. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 7-17, and free for children 6 and younger. The museum's hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays 11am - 5pm, Thursdays and Fridays 11am - 9pm, and Sundays 12pm to 5pm.
