Human use of water resources, in both groundwater and surface water systems, and its impacts on the environment. I am particularly interested in understanding geologic controls on groundwater movement and water quality, surface water/groundwater interactions, and water supply planning.
Other interests of mine include fluvial geomorphology, flood hydrology, and Quaternary geology. I am also actively involved with sediment monitoring in the Colorado River and understanding the impact of large dam releases on recreational resources in Grand Canyon National Park.
