An agenda is available at: https://bluewaters.ncsa.illinois.edu/web/portal/symposium-may-2013
On May 21-22, 2013, NCSA will host a symposium where representatives from each of the NSF PRAC teams involved in the NCSA/UIUC Enhanced Intellectual Services for Petascale Performance (NEIS-P2) program for Blue Waters will present their work and impact of recent activities.
Attendees will hear science teams share methods and results in numerous areas including GPUs, improving scalability and new algorithms. The PRAC teams come from a wide range of science and engineering fields: climate, computation chemistry, earthquake dynamics, lattice chromodynamics (LQCD), plasma physics and weather research just to name a few. The teams will report on the advances they have made in their respective fields with the goal that the knowledge can be transferred to other areas. These advances allow the teams to better utilize the large scale, heterogeneous computing capability that the Blue Waters system provides.
The symposium is open to all interested parties. There is no fee to attend, but registration is required.
