In the Christian (Eastern) Orthodox Church, Great Lent marks the forty days leading to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The first day of Great Lent is called Clean Monday. Lent is a time for prayer, penance, good-will, fasting and drawing closer to God.

The U of I and CU community completed the World's Largest Puzzle, "What a Wonderful World," in fall 2023-spring 2024. This 60 section, 6,000 piece puzzle depicts a detailed map of the world, and in total is 8' high x 29' wide. I. Remarks will start at 2, and after attendees are welcome to view the puzzle, participate in a puzzle swap, and play puzzle activities.

Beltane is the time of the marriage and union of the Goddess as Mother Earth and the God of the Greenwood. It is an ancient fertility festival marking the beginning of the planting cycle. Christians annually commemorate the death of Jesus Christ on this day, the Friday before Pascha (Easter). The (Eastern) Orthodox Christian Church does not use the term “Good Friday” but the term “Holy Friday” or “Great Friday” instead.
