Thank You:

4-H Staff would like to take a moment to thank all of our 4-H members, families, and volunteers for making the 2017 Fair Season such a success! We appreciate all of the time and effort each and everyone one of you puts into the 4-H program. The goal is for our 4-H members to have a positive experience through leadership, citizenship, and learning life skills through hands on project work. We were very pleased with the quality of work exhibited by our 4-H members at the fairs this year! Thank you to the leaders and parents for helping our youth learn by doing and excel as 4-H members.

Sincerely,

Champaign and Vermilion County 4-H Staff

4-H Members in the News

It’s always exciting to see our 4-H members in the community sharing their knowledge about their 4-H projects! We were scanning the newspaper and found Vermilion County 4-H member Wyatt DeAth and Southern Vermilion County Cloverbud members Lily and Lucy DeAth selling their sweet corn at the farmers’ market. Good luck at State Fair! Click here to read the article about Sharing the Bounty at the Danville Farmers’ Market in the Commercial-News.

Rooster Needs a Home

We live in Champaign and have backyard chickens. Unfortunately, one of our 10-week-old chicks has turned out to be a rooster.  Because Champaign does not allow roosters, we have to re-home him. He is a very beautiful Easter Egger. I think we have several weeks before he will start crowing but we do not want to get too close to the wire on that. For more info, please contact Rebecca or Chad at 217.721.1289.
