A new monthly e-newsletter where Chancellor Robert Jones shares campus news, stories, successes and information.

Welcome to Noteworthy

I recently celebrated my one-year anniversary as chancellor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In the last 12 months, I have been continuously surprised by all of the amazing things happening here. Noteworthy, this e-newsletter, was created to share those stories with you in a shortened format. I think you will enjoy learning about the incredible work being done by the students, faculty, staff members and alumni who make up the Illinois community.

Sincerely,

Robert J. Jones, Chancellor

Reflect on 150 Years of Illinois

“It is no ordinary work which we are set to do, and it comes to us under no ordinary conditions...The hungry eyes of toiling millions are turned, with mingled hope and fear, upon us, to see what new and better solution we can possibly offer of the great problems on which their well-being and destiny depend.” —John Milton Gregory, first Illinois regent, in his inaugural address
