This three-day event will conclude a year of sesquicentennial celebrations by imagining the future of interdisciplinary research for which Illinois has been, and will remain, a global leader and a public resource. Beginning with a keynote address and ending with a shared gathering to reflect on the specific opportunities, challenges, and commitments we share at Illinois, the core of this event will be six parallel symposia on the following themes:
- Advancing Food-Energy-Water System Resilience Through A Regional Resource Recovery Network
- Death by Policing: Race, State Violence, and the Possibility of Justice
- Humanities and Public Life
- Revolutionizing Brain Plasticity Through Advanced Science, Engineering, and Medicine
- Technocultural Futurisms: Code, Hack, Move
- Uniting Infection Biology for One Health
