Flying Toward a Bright Future
Freshman Tremaine Harris has a lofty future goal: He wants to be the U.S. secretary of education to improve education on a national level. For now, Tremaine is soaking in the varied campus cultures and learning from his "small but big family of people" in the College of Education. Tremaine, who is studying in the middle grades program, said he is absorbing a lot of information in the EDUC 201 course, which highlights today's issues in education. "It makes me think and understand this is what I signed up to do, and I'm ready to take on this task," he said.

Kevin T. Early Memorial Scholarship for Freshmen

Flu Shots Available at McKinley Health Center
Flu shots are available at no charge to all Illinois students who have paid their health-service fee. Students must present their University of Illinois ID card at the time of service. Learn more about getting the flu vaccine and view the locations, days, and times to get a flu shot on campus.
