Strategic Plan Update – Team 2: Administrative Software and Services Initiatives

1.1.2 - Create and deploy a service to provide a web services registry as well as a common repository for applications, enterprise message objects, and community source development initiatives with an improved governance structure and marketing.

1.6 – Begin feasibility study for the replacement of the Banner ERP system.

  • AITS is in the discovery phase of this project. Activities include talking with peer institutions to understand their plans, talking to industry analysts (Gartner, Tambellini Group, etc.) to understand the trends, and determining what options exist for feasible ERP systems. Next steps would include gathering customer feedback to determine the viability of moving forward with a project that would include major business process redesign, understanding the reasons for moving forward, and gathering more data on costs.
