The OVCR frequently receives announcements and calls for proposals from external sources. Announcements

Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research—Limited Submission
The Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research competition has been announced. The number of campus nominations is limited to two. The deadline for this opportunity is short, and eligible investigators should submit a pre-proposal form to Kathryn Partlow, in the ACES Office of Research, by 12:00 p.m. on February 15. Survey Research Methods Webinars

Understanding the University Press Ecosystem: Researcher Workshop
In order to get published, first you need to find a publisher. But how do you find the right one? On February 8, James Engelhardt, acquisitions editor at the University of Illinois Press, will give an overview of the University Press ecosystem and provide helpful hints about finding the right publisher, submitting proposals, dealing with editors, and more. Limited Submissions

Government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors often limit the number of proposals, applications, or nominations permitted from a single institution. The OVCR regularly distributes limited submission information. The current list is posted here (campus login required).
