Happy April fellow Secretariat Members!
Do you have colleagues who are eligible to become members, but haven’t signed up yet? Share this newsletter with them so that they can get a taste of everything that we do. And, point out that membership dues are ½ off - only $7.50. The membership will be valid until June 30. Additional details can be found below under Membership & Mentoring.
If you weren’t able to make it to the March Career Connections event, but have interest in the Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies program at EIU, visit our website to watch Dr. Johnson’s presentation, download her PowerPoint presentation, or find a link to EIU’s graduate programs. There were many in attendance that have either graduated from the program (and received promotions as a result of earning their degree) or who are currently enrolled. I’m sure they would be willing to share their stories with you. Feel free to contact me, and I will put you in touch with them.
The April Career Connections program will be a fun one. I hope you can join us as we celebrate the Office Professional of the Year nominees and award winner. The Nominations/Elections Committee will also present the current slate of candidates to serve as officers next year. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor, with voting taking place at the Annual Meeting in May.
